I used Auto Protek in Minley for a small ppf job including some very light machine polishing to remove a paintwork fade line where some old ppf had been fitted. Perfect job and very reasonable on price. They had a Mclaren and Lamborghini in as well while mine was in, doing full ppf on them.

Auto Protek for me too. Highly recommended although they are usually very busy with McLarens (and my cars) so you might not get booked in straight away.

I've just used Gemclean for PPF on my 1M. Absolutely outstanding and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

I had the same experience with some other places but Gemclean gave me all the time in the world on the phone. I popped by and they probably spent another hour with my car talking me through the options. Been very responsive and accommodating - all while having a Pagani Huayra, a Pista and DB11 Volante in the workshop.

Give them a call then pop by. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I got quotes from about 7 companies recently. I was actually very reluctant to get PPF but since the car was having a complete respray it seemed sensible to avoid chips in future. But I did consider it a massive compromise and was a reluctant customer.

Autoprotek were competitive, but they were not great at getting back to me.
I actually used Azuri - they're 60 miles away but will collect and deliver the car at very reasonable price.

Their work was absolutely first class. Much better than I expected, no compromise at all, and I have zero regret about getting PPF now. Highly recommended. They were also one of the cheapest, but the only quote that included detailing - protection of wheels, calipers and interior. Everywhere else was just PPF, and anything else was extra.

ETA : I had full car done - Gemclean quote was £800 more than Autoprotek and Azuri

Honestly, there's no shortage of people out there calling themselves "detailers" but if you want a good job done on your car that's going to last and not look worse than it was before, use one with a good reputation, even though it might mean waiting a while to get booked in.

I wouldn't use anyone other than Auto Protek at the moment because they know their stuff and take pride in their work. They aren't necessarily more expensive just because of the value of the cars they work on. There are others, sure, but they're very handy if you're in Frimley;)
