Le Mans - hook up?

I've just bought a ticket for Le Mans having never been before & am going on my own. Plan to drive my car (Focus RS) down to Portsmouth on thursday (8:30am ferry), and will take it from there. I am usually self sufficient but slightly freaked out by travelling solo. On the other hand I must be able to find like minded souls, surely? Apologies for the ramble, just watched Canadian GP & am slightly sloshed. Geoff
