Traffic delays at A4/A329 Reading

SSE are doing road works at the Suttons Park roundabout along the A4. Stupid planning of traffic lights. Takes 45 minutes to go down Shepherds House Hill and anybody coming out of Suttons Business Park (Costa & Aldi customers) are also forced to go up the hill then back down to get to the A329/Reading junction.

They have set out cones around the roundabout (Orange) with the red dots being traffic lights. Both A4 London Road approaches to the roundabout are now down to one lane with traffic lights



They need to get rid of the traffic lights at the bottom of the hill (approaching from the top of the hill) and stop people turning right into Suttons Business Park. Make them go around the A329 junction. That way you make the whole of the hill dual lane/one way all the way to the A329/Reading junction with no turn off's and no traffic lights. Two thirds of the traffic doesn't need to turn right into Suttons Business Park and it just flows all the way to the A329/Reading junction. Also with one less set of traffic lights, the other two lights can be timed to operate quicker.

Expect major delays for the next 4 weeks.
