Hi All,

I’m looking for someone who could repair a floor jack for me. It was left to me by my dad when he passed away, and rather than just get a brand new one I wanted to see if anyone repairs them.

I suspect the seals have gone as it has leaked quite a bit of fluid, but I’m not mechanically knowledgable enough to start taking it all apart.

Cheers

I would suggest a machine shop for something like that. Google around your nearest industrial estate and you’re bound to find someone.

I don’t know where you’re based - but Slough trading estate is full of little places that can pretty much fix anything.

Hydraulic jacks are very simple pieces of equipment. I would suggest trying to find an online manual or video of that model or a similar one.
Then try doing it yourself, it will teach you much more than paying someone to do it and give you much more satisfaction.

I changed the seals in my jack and it only cost me £1.20

Thanks.

I'll take a further look at the weekend and dig out the name and see what I can find online.
