Took this today from the Hogsback looking north (ish) to west ( ish)

Thought it might have been Bracknell, but cannot place any of the building work.
However got some of BT Tower/City bldgs ( inc Shard) and Canary Wharf bit hazy but indentifiable

Spotted this ages ago as it just sticks out so much in a place you would not expect it, think it is the Woking Victoria Square development.

What do you mean by this?

Looks like they are building some high rise flats where ever it is.

Just off to the right of that picture on a good day you can see right up into London which is about 30 miles away. The Leadenhall building, Gerkin and Shard are the easier ones to spot. Woking is only about 10 miles away.

It's the shoite hole known as Woking.
Surreys answer to Slough.

Can see those bulding cores from the top tier rugby pitches at Surrey Sports Park.

Was not that long ago councils were trying to rid our cities and towns of this high rise rubbish due to
the problems, social and otherwise created which these sort of places cause.

Another fire disaster waiting to happen.
Social problems and drug dealers.
And where the hell are all these people going to park their cars.

I was going to suggest Woking as I know theres a big redevelopment going on there. Then I looked at a map and the direction in the OP didn't seem to tally biggrin

It's Woking, I can see it from the golf course area in Merrow when I take the dogs up there occasionally, pan right and if its clear you can see the Shard and other buildings in London.

You would have had a good view of the Martians attacking from the Hog's Back.

It’s Woking. HG Wells used to live there.
