Has crime increased in leafy Surrey ?
Discussion
Surrey went through some huge changes in the last couple of years, meaning there are less officers on the streets (budget cuts).
Most of the proactive teams that would target those type of crimes have been disbanded.
Every officer now carries a huge workload, as well as responding to all the calls for service during the shift.
Mental health and missing persons are a huge drain on the frontline. Quite common to see police in A&E for hours dealing with this.
Policing has changed so much and officers are leaving for different careers. Sadly it's only going to get worse
