A good place for tyres - Windsor and surrounding area...
Discussion
Greetings,
Based in Windsor and need some tyres fitted - usually not a big deal but from the last 3 places I have been I am very cautious, debacles include: scraping an alloy, wheel alignment setup for the wrong car and loosing my locking wheel nut. Classic Benny Hill tyre fitting antics.
Just need a reliable place to fit my tyres within reasonable distance from Windsor.
Any recommendations welcome!
Thanks!

Total tyres Binfield, always used them - usually cheaper than anyone else in the area and a good service, although a bit of a shabby looking garage.Based in Windsor and need some tyres fitted - usually not a big deal but from the last 3 places I have been I am very cautious, debacles include: scraping an alloy, wheel alignment setup for the wrong car and loosing my locking wheel nut. Just had the tyres on my M5 done by Protyre in Slough - was really impressed.
Firstly, before he took my wheels off he inspected them with me, so any blemishes were seen by both of us before they started work.
Secondly, everything torqued up by hand.
Thirdly, gave the wheels and tyres a proper clean afterwards, so no handprints or white goop all over them.
Bonus: White leather still white

What Cats said - Martins Tyres in Bisley every time.
Except not in Bisley.Brentmoor Road, West End. GU24
They also used a manual torque wrench last time I went there to 120Nm which is what BMW recommend.

OK not quite, but "West End" isn't too helpful as there are plenty of "West Ends" in the UK but less "Bisleys".

Type, Brentmoor Road West End. into google and see what comes up They also used a manual torque wrench last time I went there to 120Nm which is what BMW recommend.
Another vote for Protyre in Slough. They'll fit blackcicles supplied and wanted nothing from me when they removed a nail to find it hadn't gone through the carcass as I feared. Did my pressures all round too.
Plus, not that there's any evidence at all, their unit was one of those used by Anderson for filming Thunderbirds...
