Plastic Welding & 3D printing in Surrey, Hants, TV areas
Discussion
As per thread title looking to see if anyone has any recommendations for either of the above
Plastic Welding - basically need to fix a snapped mounting bracket on my Mk1 Focus RS front grille (still have the bracket). Typical FRS front grille issue where the heat from the turbo makes the passenger side plastic bracket brittle so it eventually snaps off. Looking to get it fixed properly rather than relying on the usual glue gun fix that most seem to do on the cheap. I might be looking to get the paintwork on the grille surround re-done at the same time so a recommended bodyshop would be ideal.
3D Printing - in this case I'm considering replicating a plastic centre cap that was fitted to a set of '90's Gutmann alloy wheels that i bought some time ago for my 205 GTI. I've still got 2 decent condition / undamaged, original Gutmann, caps to work with for scanning, but as it's a rare '90's alloy wheel finding the original caps, minus damage, etc, in the correct size is pretty difficult tbh - especially as most of the time they appear overseas with no postage to the UK. On that basis i thought getting a small batch replicated via 3D printing might be easier (i could be wrong cost wise on that however).
Cheers for any suggestions

I've used these guys a couple of times for 3D printing with no complaints.

Post a pic of the caps (please).
Can't help with the welding, but you could do worse than ask them.

Thanks for the info
The caps aren't anything special tbh - just a plain black cap with a Gutmann logo but it's the dimensions / shape that's the issue as they're designed to sit slightly proud of the alloy whereas the universal ones you can get on eBay have more of a flat seat and don't look right (probably just me being anal tbh trying to make it period correct )
