Hi all,

Had a lorry take me out on the motorway and got wing / door / wheel repair needed on my 996.

Insurance have recommended Fast Lane in Ascot who do 'prestige' cars including JLR, BMW (and Rolls Royce), Merc (and Maybach) but not Porsche specialist.

But I'm in Reading with Specialised Paintwork round the corner, who I understand do a lot of work on Porsche including for the OPC.

I get a courtesy car and guaranteed work from insurance if I go with their recommendation (Fast Lane). But courtesy car is nice to have (esp as it's jag or range rover from Fast lane) rather than deal breaker as I walk to work.

Any advice?

I've used Spec Paintwork for some small jobs (biggest was a front bumper repair and respray on an M3) and they were good on those. I've never heard anything bad about them either.

I had Specialised do a full side repair on an Audi that had been keyed, they did a superb job, very impressed.
They did sort a loan car for me, just a little aygo from Enterprise.

Sadly... still waiting to get it confirmed that it's not a write off. think repairs above 60% of the total value means they won't bother.
