Just brought a R32 which needs a lot of TLC

I am aware of a few specialists in and around Reading so can anyone recommend any of them?

I've always had great honest work done by Mill Road Garage, only used them for servicing but the work was done as required and got the impression they are great honest guys and don't always work by the book to find solutions.

Never heard a bad word about Mill Road Garage, they're very popular. Also, had good service from VAG Autoworks (Caversham also) in the past.

Simon And Graeme are fantastic with VAG group cars and I know they look after a few r32s.

Mill Road Garage is just down the road from me. In 20yrs living here, everyone I've known with a VW has used them at some point and always speaks highly of them, I used to take my ex-GF's Golf there, in my experience they do 'indy specialist' exactly right.

Thanks for the replies. Taken it to a garage I have used for years but will go to Mill Road if it needs anything specialised.

Sounds like I am the only one, but I had a very disappointing experience with Mill Road - albeit I will caveat that it’s coming on to 10 years ago now.

Went in for a standard service, ‘sir we will do a full check of everything else too’.

Literally the next week the brakes failed on the motorway, the pads were knacked and it was metal on metal......not good, not good at all.

Also I price checked them a few years later when I was running a mk5 gti - and they were the same as the main dealer. But then I found that with Grovsnor for bmw pricing on my m135i too, hey ho.
