Stuck Glow Plugs

Wife's Car (Skoda Fabia) has been into Autotechnic today as I had the glow plug in cylinder 1 fail.

I asked to get them all replaced at the same time to save on future labour costs but after replacing cylinder 1 ok, the other 3 are stuck fast.

To take the head off to get them out is going to be £1500+ so in advance of any more failures does anyone have any recommendations for a specialist that can get them out? I've heard these miracle workers exist!

Thanks, I had seen the London one but was hoping for similar a bit closer to home!

Thread Doctor I looked at earlier, it wasn't clear that they will do the actual removal or will fix things after it goes wrong, I'll give them a call.

Tell him to replace the #1 glow plug and be done with it. Not worth a major strip down IMO.

I presume he tried all the usual removal methods?

Cylinder 1 has been replaced. They tried the others and said that they'd break if they tried any harder to remove them.

They only had the car for a day so no time for overnight soaking etc but they tried to soak for the time they had etc.

I'm just planning for when the next one fails.

He does work for all the main dealers that have issues like this including stuck injectors that have broken off in the head, he will
Make light work of those glow plugs and it won’t involve taking the engine apart, anybody that works in the garage trade in this area will have used him at some point

I`ve used them a number of times,they are very good,saved me lots of hassle and saved my customers a fortune.
