Bit of a random question(s) but is the cricketers pub any good and does the big green out front of it get used for anything (eg cricket !?)

I don't know about the pub but the green has cricket matches going on reasonable regularly.

I've eaten at the Cricketers and it was very nice, nothing amazing, but enjoyable, added bonus, I could walk home

Pub is pretty standard Greene KIng fare. Food service can be very sketchy - long waiting times not unheard of.

No cricket is played on the common land in front of the pub though
