Morning all, we're getting close to finishing the kitchen but need some splashbacks.

Have been to Allder Glass in Wokingham and they have a decent selection but I'd like to get a couple more quotes.

A few places just seem to do supply only if we template - I'd rather hand the whole job over.

I've seen a couple of posts about acrylic/perspex instead of glass - no idea if that's cheaper/better/worse?

We're near Reading.

Thanks,
Steve

Cameo Glass in Swindon did mine very nicely. Our kitchen supplier was in Oxford and he uses them (though I went direct) so I suspect they'd travel to Reading no trouble. They came to take templates and came back to fit. Never template yourself as any error is your fault - if they template and it doesn't fit it's their fault.

Perspex is not the same at all. My brother had it and it looks cheap and nasty - scratches easily and warps where it was too near the hob.

Thanks both, I appreciate it.

Scott, you can keep that to yourself, don't give M any more lighting ideas!

I know it's not too near you OP, but I got one from these people when we had our kitchen refitted in 2006:-

They only supplied it, but it was pretty easy to glue to the wall and looked great. The only issue was it being a very tight fit in the space between the worktop and the cooker hood, but that was the kitchen fitters getting the hood slightly misaligned.
