Three Mile Cross woes

Hi - anyone know why the traffic is so bad at the moment travelling through Three Mile Cross? I travel up from the A33 to join the M4 but the traffic is horrendous early morning. If this is a what it's like during the school holidays, it's going to be terrible when the schools go back.

Acclumatisation period in advance of the 5(+) years of smart motorway work on the M4?

Church Lane has been shut, I assume it still is, so all the traffic that usually cuts through there and up to black boy and then on to Lower Earley, Arborfield etc is probably using junction 11 roundabout instead.
