Who do you use? I hardly ever use one but need one tonight.

I did download Uber last night but it didn't seem particularly cheap to me (~£15 to get from Camberley to Nine Mile Ride) and I didn't particularly want to give them access to paypal or a credit card.

Five Sixes I've used a few times.

They have an office on the end of the London Road (A30) parade of shops.

It's who I generally use. I find all Taxis around these parts expensive, and I grew up in London!

Ok, thanks to both. Will give them a call. (And maybe become a taxi driver!)

Uber has always been cheapest for me, 4mi journey from Camberley is about £7-10 compared to £20-25 from a taxi. That's at 1am mind.

It's stupidly expensive. I get charged about #12-15 just for going from either Camberley or Bagshot, to near Pennyhill. It's one straight road, about 2 miles. It's got to the point I'm looking at bus routes! Buses !!!!!!!

How often do you find an Uber nearby? Whenever I've looked there's one car somewhere within 10 miles, but that's it !

I went from Camberley (about half way down Frimley Road) to Nine Mile Ride, and it was roughly £17 with Five Sixes.

We ended up in Ascot later that night, and by comparison the taxi home (arranged by my date, and a company that she's used enough in the past that they knew where she lived) dropped her off in Bracknell, then took me back to Camberley (arriving about 4am) and was £41 - which for that time of day I thought was a very decent price.

Overall, it wasn't a cheap night though - can't actually remember what the taxi to Ascot cost - about £25 I think.

Ah..... the reason I don't use them is because my attached neighbours are immensely noisy. They used to be even more immensely noisy when there were two families there - but one of them moved out a year ago and they were definitely the main cause.
The husband of the family that moved out is a driver for Eurotaxis - if he turned up, I think we'd have a fairly awkward journey..........

Never had a problem finding one in the evening, even on a weekday night - they're usually about 20 min wait max. But you're right, only ever seems to be one about, maybe I'm just lucky!

I took a taxi at least 1 yr ago from Farnborough Main to Frimley, Again, about 2 miles in a straight line but after midnight. I noticed the meter went up 20p every 5 seconds!!

I went from Cove/Southwood to Farnborough North in March on a Saturday afternoon and it was over 8 quid!

I use Eurotaxis around Camberley or Ascot cars if heading east towards Ascot / Sunningdale
