I have a hot date next week, and Windsor / Slough / Maidenhead is roughly the half way point between us - so we need to find a pub where we can meet for a drink.

It would be better to avoid driving into a town center and having to find parking, so we would like something in that area, but ideally out of town - and it needs a decent car park.

Any suggestions?

(Note, that I am aware that it's advisable for women to have first dates somewhere that they're surrounded by a zillion people but it was actually her suggestion to find somewhere out of town).

Well, if you decide Maidenhead way, you have a couple of small pubs in Bray which are next door to The Fat Duck and understand both these pubs are owned by Heston. There is also The George in Holyport, looks nice from the outside and in a nice tiny village which I drive through every day and less than 5 mins from the M4

If the weather is nice go to Boulter's Inn in Maidenhead. The river terrace is a nice atmosphere.

If you want somewhere really quiet, the hotel next to Maidenhead Bridge, can't remember what it's called now, was always very quiet.

Yep those places in Bray are good too. And you can take her to the Fat Duck too for dinner smile - although I think the food while excellent doesn't warrant the price tag.

Bel and Dragon in Cookham is very old and does drinks and food, expensive, very old world type atmosphere. And easy to get to the path to walk by the river afterwards too if you want.

Also seconded on the George in Hollyport, pretty little place.

There are also some very nice pubs around Burnham Beaches, next to the woods. But I can't remember exactly where they are - it could be 'an adventure drive' to explore. Also they have close proximity to woods, if you want to avail yourself of the suggestions offered in the 'How/Where to dispose of a Corpse' PH thread. Around Taplow too.

If you decide to go to dinner then the Thai place on the same stretch of road, closer to the bridge than Boulters, is good; but better is the Peking Inn or the Cookham Tandoori - both in Cookham. Or, the Inn on the Green in Cookham Dean is good too.

She was a very pleasant surprise actually - very attractive in person, with a gorgeous figure - some of which was on view from a fairly low cut top. Was quite difficult to keep looking her in the eye!

Oh good stuff, hope she liked you too. Now the real challenge to find somewhere impressive for date #2.... Is there a date #2?

The texts the following morning definitely suggested she liked me - in some detail....

I was debating over date 2 to be honest, since - although she was definitely hot, I'm not sure it would work long term for a variety of reasons. But have decided that it might be fun even if it doesn't...... so yes, there will be a date 2.

lol, yes classic vid.

But actually..... they're all crazy!! Yep, all of them. There is not a single one that is oestrogen free. The only question is - is you married her would you end up needing to avail the services of the PH 'best way to get rid of a corpse' thread,,
