Paint shop for classic car
Discussion
Hi all, another thread for the 1963 Humber Sceptre I'm restoring. I've had a look around for somewhere to paint the car but I'm having trouble.
Usually people with classics are after a really superb finish etc but at the moment I'm just looking for a lick of paint, with a budget of about £1,000. The car's current coat is very dull, after having sat for decades in a barn, and I just want to bring it up again rather than have a concours car. I've taken most of the car's brightwork off myself too, but I don't have the facilities to actually paint the thing myself.
Anyone know anywhere nearby? Ideally near Egham but the car has no engine at the moment so will need to be put on a trailer anyway, so I can travel a bit.

^^^ Yep what Ed said, they look good- I've seen Rolls Royces there too so they're prob too good for what you're after iyswim.
My car is going to http://www.milancoachworks.co.uk to have the front clam done next month. They're just outside Guildford so quite far maybe 30mins from you.
I also had a bumper sprayed last year (severely stone chipped) at Woking- Austin Sherwood- they were great, after talking to the guys there really like their classic cars too. I'm sure they'd be happy to do the work you need if you can prep most of it. Maybe pop down with some pics and chat to one of them.
