Golf buggy repair?
Discussion
It's a Yamaha ride on, seats 9. Model number is at house I work for and I'm out at mo but it was made in 97 iirc.
It's dead, I checked batteries and they were all dry so topped them up out it on a full charge, but it's still dead. It has 6 Trojan 8 volt batteries and I've been quoted £760 plus vat to have new ones delivered.
I'd really like someone to come to the house and check it over first just to make sure it is the batteries and not a different problem.
Time is of the essence as the family arrive in just over a week and I'd like it sorted before then if it's possible.
Any ideas or recommendations or a fitter who does call outs would be greatly appreciated, ta!

To be honest, if the batteries were "dry", no amount of topping up will revive them. It's not going to be a cheap fix. 8 x 6v batteries will need to be deep cycle ones too, driving DC motor(s).
Sorry but I reckon you need to pay a specialist and would suggest contacting Yamaha to ask who they recommend.

Thanks very much for info, much appreciated.
Sadly I'm no mechanic, but even I guessed and assume these batteries are dead and finished. I will contact Yamshs tomorrow and see if I can get a fitter out, but pretty sure ur will just end up with new batteries being bought, last minute before the family turn up!
