Explosion? near wokinham yesterday

About 16.30 yesterday i heard a muufled bang sounded some distance away, and i was in Evendons Lane and it 'seemed' to come from the direction of Barkham/Sindlesham.

nothing on the net at all. Anbody got any ideas?

We were at a car trial at Hungry Hill near Aldershot .
From the top of the ranges we could see across towards Wokingham/Maidenhead.
About 1400hrs we noticed a massive plume of white smoke (no black in it so unlikely to be an oil fire) in the distance.
Driving back along the 329M about half an hour later it was still there but looked as if it was more between Maidenhead/Henley.
I can't find anything on-line which seems strange....
