A30 Camberley 7th Aug - Bin Lorry
Discussion
Passed this outside McDonalds this morning. Lorry on the left handside of the road, partially on the pavement, two wheels / tyres still on the axle, on the opposite pavement, lots of Police and an ambulance in attendance.
Firstly, hope all involved ok.
Secondly.... what the hell happened? Anyone see it?

We passed it also this morning and one of my sons took some video.
Looked to me as if the wheels and axle had hit the front of the baby shop smashing the window and bending the lamp post and had then ended up on the opposite side of the road.
Could have been really nasty but the police confirmed there were no injuries. It certainly left a mess.

Was it the local Surrey Heath refuse truck?
Looks like a Biffa official next to the copper.
Vehicle in Dangerous Condition = Big Fine.
Two weeks ago these nuggets missed my bin which was out in its normal place.
but they picked up both neighbours ones.
Only thing is the dumb fk operator thought it was a good idea to climb into the back
of the loading compactor and sift through the trash instead of collecting my bin.
Complaint made and I have security camera footage - no reply from SHBC
Serious H&S issues with their contractor.

The lorry in the pic was not the one involved as that had been removed by the time we came back past.
As far as I recall, it was a Biffa one though. It was one that had those prong things at the front used to lift the bins from the front of the lorry and tip into the rear.
Could have been a very different outcome if those wheels had hit someone....
