Trailer hire - South Oxfordshire?
Discussion
I'm trying to avoid having to buy a trailer for my Westfield, and this weekend decided to try renting from a local place in Thame. No issues as such - the trailer was excellent, staff were helpful etc, but the opening times were rather restrictive.
I collected the trailer Saturday morning, hoping I could drop it back late Saturday/Sunday when I was finished with it. They shut at lunchtime on Saturday, and initially I was under the impression that I would be able to drop it back whenever (as I have done with many van hire centres before - usually you get a key to the yard and you can drop it off). Unfortunately it turned out that this wasn't the case and I could only drop it back when they were next open - Monday morning.
Fortunately it wasn't an issue this time round, but I'm often up and away early on Mondays and won't always have time to drive half an hour out of my way to drop off a trailer. I've found a place in Didcot I will be speaking to tomorrow to see if they can be a bit more flexible, but would be interested to know of any other establishments people could recommend? Ideally I'd be able to collect on a Saturday (whenever really) and then drop back on Sunday evening.
BTW, I do understand their reasoning - after all, trailers are very easily stolen. I'm just hoping I won't have to buy/store one of my own
