soffits, faciers and guttering replacements
Discussion
I used these guys in July this year. http://www.checkatrade.com/JTFascias/
An excellent job, highly recommended, no relation.

Any more up to date recommendations before I call the ones above? (Camberley).
I discovered at the weekend that the board behind one of my gutters is absolutely rotten. So it seems it's probably well overdue to get all the wood ripped out and replaced by nice shiny UPVC.
I think I had a couple of quotes for this once before (can't remember the companies), and it left me clinically depressed so I'm hoping to find some more reasonable pricing!

Thought I'd give an update based on my experience so far - although so far I'm only at the quote stage.
They were a bit late, but texted me to tell me they were running late. Very nice guys when they turned up (father and son), and did a very thorough evaluation - up on the ladder, measuring the width of soffits etc. and were probably there for almost half an hour.
I was told I would be emailed the quote in about a week - I asked (the son) if I could have a ballpark figure, but he said he had no idea - his dad did that side of the business. I figured I may as well wait for the email.
However - it's now about 10 days later and I still don't have a quote. I called them again yesterday afternoon, got an answerphone again and left a message saying who I was and that I'd like the quote - left my number and email address again.
Much as I liked Young and Sons when they visited, and I did feel they would do a good job - I concluded that they took too long to get back to me when I first rang them, and are taking far too long with the quote. I guess they have enough business that it doesn't matter, but if I have to chase that hard at this stage then I tend to assume it wouldn't be good if they did the work and I needed to contact them about problems in the future.
So, JT Fascias will get my business and I'll give an update when it's done (hopefully before Christmas - both said they had about a 1 month lead time).

Called him on a Monday, and left a message - got called back that evening and we arranged for him to come and give a quote on the Thursday. Turned up on time (actually, called to say he was running early and to see if I was home, which I was) took a look at the property from ground level and measured the width of the house. Worked out the price (which seemed reasonable) and told me there and then, and emailed it to me a day or two later. An excellent job, highly recommended, no relation.

Also called them on the Monday, and had to leave a message - but they didn't call back until the Wednesday although they apologised for the delay. Sorry you had a bad experience with the quote delay - I had the work done a few years ago when John was running the quote side but I know he is taking more of a back seat now. Dale is not on the ball unfortunately
In fact, I never have received a quote from them. Very disappointing.Turns out JT Fascias is a tad busy - so although I thought I could squeeze it in before Christmas, it turns out his earliest date was 17th January so it will be done then.

Another John Young recommender here. He did my home many years ago and is a good friend to boot.
In that case, you may want to suggest to him that they send out their quotes. I liked them, and assuming their price was reasonable they would have been my choice. But without a quote, it's a tad hard to do business with them. They're obviously busy enough that they don't need to worry that much, but it's poor customer service and unprofessional.
