Under the delusion that programming ford keys was still possible without a computer, I ordered a new flip style key from Carkeyhelp.
Anyhow, further research shows that this is no longer the case. So, anyone know of someone with the correct software that would be willing to code the key for me, for a reasonable amount of money?
Cheers

Haven become a victim of keyless car theft a couple of months back, I'd be happy if only a dealer could still perform this function. It's so easy to take most cars now, it's like the 80/90's all over again.
I'd also be content, if they charged a reasonable sum for what is in effect 10 minutes work. Yes they have to pay annually for there machine, but not to this extreme. Having rung around i've found another dealership who are happy to do it for £50 inc - far more reasonable, but still expensive. pewe said:
Try Keyrite in Reading (proper old-fashioned locksmith) or Marparts in Caversham (proper car accessory shop) both all-round good guys and trustworthy.
Alernatively buy second-hand key and barrel from a breakers and swap over the chips - or is it not that simple?
HTH.
Cheers, Pewe.
Cheers Pewe - I could cripple the working key to get the new one working, that is possible, but its easy to mess it up and end up with no key. Ill add Keyrite to list of people Im going to ring tomorrow. Alernatively buy second-hand key and barrel from a breakers and swap over the chips - or is it not that simple?
