Nice one Reading Borough Council
Discussion
Seems that all we ever hear about local authorities is negative so here's a positive for RBC.
On Friday morning I noticed a man-hole, which has been problematic for years, had the cover about 50mm or more down into the supporting frame.
This is no back-street location but the single lane on the A4 heading out of Reading by Palmer Park.
I reported it to the Highways Dept. and suggested it had become dangerous, especially if a biker hit it un-sighted.
The guy at the other end assured me they would send someone out to inspect it without delay.
As we left for the Wilton meet-up at Fleet 0730hrs on Sunday morning there was a crew just finishing off their repair work on that and a near-by manhole.
So thumbs up for RBC - good job .
Cheers, Pewe.
