Basingstoke Canal vs dogs

Cycled down there with my GF the other night, near Frimley. 2 dogs running towards us, an Alsatian and some medium Terrier thing... they looked well happy to be running free along the tow path, I cycled past as the Alsatian barked and then he growled just after I past them. Then heard my GF scream behind me so I stopped...she shouted for me not to stop as the Alsatian had bitten her leg and was still there...
I looked for ownwers, were none, cycled after the dogs, but they'd gone.

GFs leg already bruising but the skin wasn't broken.

Who do we report this to? is it worth it?

If you still want to report it, then report it to the police. It's a dog dangerously out of control in a public place. Of course, without locating the owners, there's probably not many lines of enquiry so there might not be any result from it.
