If you are thinking about using a mobile tyre fitter in Reading, for a puncture repair, for instance, be very careful over who you choose, or you too may end up with this...

Then, when you tell the fitter that you are seriously p***** off that he's done the damage, he'll get all defensive, call his boss and get him to visit. He will then insist that it's clearly kerb damage.....

So, be very careful in Reading or Berkshire, with mobile tyre services. (Hopefully that's cryptic, but obvious enough)

So the black marks on the rim were caused by a black kerb then?
I'd obtain a quote from a reputable company to repair the damage and ask the mobile tyre company to pay up.
Failing that Small Claims Court.
Cheers, Pewe.

That is worrying. Was going to use a local (to Reading) fitter this week to swap some tyres over. Fancy sending me a pm about who this was so I can scrub them off the list?

That damage was not done by a "tyre fitter"........more like a "butcher".

If any of my fitters did that I would get it refurbed as my cost.

That's on a run of the mill alloy so what state would he leave a 20" rim fitted with a run flat ????

Cheapest it not always the best direction, but I find it hard to believe an experienced tyre fitter would do that.

Go get it refurbed and send them the bill.

Beat of luck.

This is a 19" rim, not run of the mill, as such.

Message who to avoid sent, as requested.
