Right, to follow on from my Mountain Bike Thread in the Pie and Piston, I thought it might be an idea to start a seperate thread for a post crimbo bike ride.

First off can I start the ball rolling by suggesting the weekend of 15&16th Jan.

Over to you lot.

I wouldn't mind goin for a ride, although where it will be matters, since I would need to cycle from Brighton. Sounds like fun.

Deinitely be up for that though will need some advance notice as currently residing in Cambs. Used to ride Nth downs a lot back in my days of youth and have also ridden Sth downs way end to end a couple of times.

Location wise I'm keen to try out the circuit near junction 3 of the M3, partly because its within riding distance of me.

However chucking the bike in the back of the car isn't a problem so I'm open to suggestions.

There seems to be a fair bit of riding betwee Guildford and Dorking.

Rats, looks like it's just a bit too far to cycle up from Brighton. Oh well, I guess I'll see some ph'ers one day.

Right, So how about meeting at the Lightwater country park, as I know there is plenty of parking there for thoes coming in cars?

We could try and find the proposed Olympic circuit if its there, or someone with local knowledge could take the lead.

Your thoughts please gents?

Anybody plnning on coming up from near Croydon and who can give me a lift? Te S just won't fit my bike into it. unless I completely dismantle it.
