Hi,
Can anyone recommend a good gardener in the Bracknell area?

Also any ideas on how much a gardener would charge? We need basically need new grass laid and the bushes/trees clipped & ongoing maintenance.

Thanks

My advice: get a quote from a couple of local companies/one man bands for the initial work and the ongoing maintenance. Commit to the initial work, see how you get on with them and if you are happy sign up for the ongoing maint. Expect to pay £15 - £25 per hour around these parts.

Also, have a look in your local newsagent's window for other options (for gardening services, of course).

We had quotes from various companies, all wanting ~£25 / hour. In the end we found a semi retired gentleman who works very hard, and charges £12 / hour. He even asked if I wanted to negotiate his rate, and I said no, it is more than fair.

Try Geoff Fox @ 'The Garden Butler' 01344 640574. Its a friends company only set-up a few years ago but already has an extensive client base and based in Bracknell. Really nice guy as well.
