hi - I'm looking to put some S2000 seats into a G1 Honda Insight, and know the seat rails are completely different. I'd be looking for someone to weld up some adaptor rails to the base of the new seats so they can fit, but I'd rather not hack them around (so at some point they could revert to being S2000 seats again...)

Can anyone recommend a competent engineer/welder in the Reading area?

cheers
Ewan

I used XSport racing in Basingstoke to do the rails on my old 205 track car. Very competent if a little pricey.

Could also try Calvin (Blackpoolrock on here) at Wilton Morgan engineering in Hurst. He's the local TVR specialist but part of a family run rolls Royce restoration business. Whilst it might not be something he'd normally advertise to do, they must be handy with the welder!

thanks MrC. Given that the seats were only 160 quid, I'm not too keen on spending loads to get them adapted but a low-hassle, good quality job would be preferable...
