Windsor castle. Where to park.
Discussion
King Edward Court multi story, walk through the station and the castle is right in front of you.

I would park in the home park car park which then gives you a great view of the back of the castle as you walk towards it and then up the hill, you see the round tower.... (As you pass the tower opposite MacDonalds, tell them that until the 1970's there was a tunnel between the castle and the basement in MaccyD's but due to the troubles, it was bricked up.
King Edward car park is good, but expensive..... and don't forget to drop into the 2 brewers for a beer which is at the top of the long walk by the castle (on Park Street)

...and whatever you do, don't use the one directly next to the river (near Browns as opposed to behind Browns).
Rip-off private car park that's expensive and they clamp you.
All of the other car parks are fine!
100% agree with this. avoid it like the plague... they fine you if 1 minute over, if close to the line and have spoiled many a visit to Windsor... and it is expensiveRip-off private car park that's expensive and they clamp you.

Also worth knowing that they change the Guards on Sat around 10:45 so worth getting there in time to see this. I normally go during the week with the kids more details on link below.

Used to drink in there lunchtimes with a customer back in the late 70s (Siebe Gorman - used to make diving suits) when lunchtime drinking was the done thing. eybic said:
This one is quite handy but can fill up quickly
If you go in this car park, one of the terraced houses on the right you can see has a blue plaque which signifies it was the home of Sir Sydney Camm... and if you walk right out of the entrance of this car park, across the coach park, you'll see a replica of the plane is is famous for... its very close to the riverGassing Station | Thames Valley & Surrey | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
