A quick thanks to Surrey Road Cops......
Discussion
Today I had the unfortunate need to call on the services of the Surrey Traffic Bib following an 'incident' in Ripley where a cyclist v stationary car resulted in my best mate going to hospital for facial reconstructive surgery.
If you were one of the Bib who attended, then on behalf of the group of cyclists riding with the guy who impacted I would like to thank you. It was clear that there was little that could be done at the scene, but you did a good job of 'managing' us, and showed a lot of empathy to the hazards that those of us who get pleasure from 2 wheels face on a daily basis.
Thanks again........

Still waiting to hear, he went for surgery at 16:00 yesterday and was still down there at 22:00 last night.....
Not really sure how it happened, car was stationary a couple of foot from the side of the road with its sidelights on but no hazards, so I would speculate that he saw it but assumed it to be moving.
Also, the sun was low in the sky, wind was blowing a gale - there could have been so many things that contributed but he does not remember a thing. A genuine accident I am afraid.
