Not sure where exactly in Deepcut this is ( I only ever go there for Brekkie)

But I am sure some of my fellow pistonheaders will be affected..

Ah that's the single lane bridge that goes over the 4 track mainline from Waterloo to the coast and links the tail end of Deepcut in with the NSL roads back towards Frimley Green and Pirbright.

That doesn't tend to be too much of a through road apart from maybe locals, but I don't think the diversion adds too much time.

Seems sensible to close it indefinitely though if it is quite badly structurally damaged.

ETA - Should have said keep it closed indefinitely until it can be repaired correctly.

Also didn't the brickwork get quite badly damaged a few years back when someone crashed their car into it late one night, or was that one of the other single file ones in Frimley Green or Mytchett?

Its a public Road with right of passage.

Council / Highways / Railtrack should be keeping it maintained
and fit for purpose.

I'm round the corner from this but in terms of convenience it's no biggie as you can go from Deepcut through Frimley Green. The latest news though is that 'indefinitely' is at least one year!

Thanks for posting this up, this causes a chunky diversion for me from Brookwood to Deepcut, 18 months is insane!
