Friendly tyre place - Slough/Windsor area
Discussion
Guys
Had a puncture on one of the rear tyres. The other rear still has plenty of life left in it (5-6mm) so I don't really want to replace both. I've gone down the route of getting nearly new which worked out much cheaper and means both rears should wear out at the same time. I just need someone to fit it. Any recommendations in the area? I know some places these days aren't keen on fitting tyres not supplied by them.

Protyre will fit 3rd party supplied tyres, but only if they are brand new. I've had the same problem with lots of other tyre places.
If you're completely stuck, I've used SG Autopoint in Windsor to fit my winter tyres in the past (junction of St Leonard's and Imperial roads). They'll charge you about £15 a tyre for fitting, valve and balancing.
Cheers,
Pete

Try ALS tyres in Warfield .. not asked them to fit own tyres but they have been accomodating on other bits and bobs for me.
A timely thread for me as I needed some part-worn winter tyres fitting to a set of steel wheels. Based on the recommendations here I tried ALS in Warfield and they were happy to help and reasonably priced too.
