what makes me laugh, is they pull you over (as they did to me outside the RMA), hand you a form to complete, then send you on your way. The actual "stop" takes very little time, it's just the surrounding chaos thats a problem.

Now... you have been handed a form, which has caused you inconvenience, and delayed you on your journey.
Where exactly IS your motivation to return it?

Which cock juggling thunder decided to put one at the Sheppard and Flock at rush hour? Complete gridlock around Farnham, 40 minutes to go past. tts of the lowest order.

And, if possible, where? - Obviously this would be just out of interest, not so that we know where to avoid hehe

Carefully wipe your arse on the form.
Put it in the pre-paid envelope.

Remember that if the police are in attendance and request you to stop, then you must stop. However, there is nothing in law to force you to reply to the census.

No police? No need to stop!

They've been in attendance on all the the ones I've seen.

Surely they have villains to nick?

If they don't have the Police there, they can't do it.
It's paid overtime, so those officers wouldn't be working anyway (paid for by the company doing the census)

They're happening all over Hampshire and the surrounding areas. It's all paid for by a private firm employed on behalf of the county council. They are all policed in order to get motorists to stop. The officers are all on overtime, paid for by the census company, so nothing comes out of the police budget. It's a nice little earner for those doing it, although it does seem silly doing it on busy major routes and causing traffic chaos. Like others have said, you have to stop if directed to do so, but you don't have to answer any questions. There's no need to be rude, just politely decline and you'll be sent on your way.

Got stopped by one when I was heading into Farnham today. However at least they were doing it very sensibly and just handing out the cards when people had to come to a stop when the traffic lights on the junction were red.

Common sense sometimes does get utilised smile Albeit very rarely hehe
