Can anyone recommend one not too far from the Woking/Guildford etc area? Thai Terrace in Guildford looks decent but appears to get mixed reviews!

Thanks smile

It's fine and a bit more special being on the roof. There's another in Guildford owned by the same people called Rmwong or something like that.

Rumwong in Guildford, it's opposite G-Live, it is fantastic, you'll have to book and it will be expensive but it's worth it.

Yep rumwong is the absolute best Thai place around its our favourite. I don't think it's too expensive, bottle of wine and being full to the brim is about £60. Tempura prawns are really nice!

The last time the wife and I went we spent just under £100 for the both of us, yes the tempura prawns are fantastic, also if you like ginger, as I do, then get the ginger rice to go with your main.

like Thai Pinto in Leatherhead. Lovely fresh food and not silly prices with very good value set menus.

Thai Terrace is ok, unless you've actually been to Thailand, a which point you realise the food is average at best. Try Hansa's Thai Kitchen in Weybridge for something a bit more authentic.

Yes, my girlfriend and I have recently returned from a holiday there, which is why I thought it'd be nice to go to a nice Thai place for her birthday. I'll have a look at the one in Weybridge, that'd be nice and convenient. Thanks! Is there any convenient parking nearby?

Dont know if Windsor is too far but there is a brillant one on the corner opposite the castle in the high street.

Cheap and very very good.

Thai Terrace is very good but may be a little lacking on the authentic side of things for some (but I would still highly recommend it if you haven't been).

I/we had a great meal there, food was definitely above average, the staff were excellent and as others have said it is quite a special place up there over looking Guildford.

Oh, and when the waiter asks how 'Hot' you would like a certain dish, the answer is not (for most people atleast) 'Thai Hot' unless you wish to... well, you can guess the rest! hehe

Best Thai I know is in Acton, 'Thai Nice' . Very good value, great food, and they do a ladyboy cabaret once a month on a sunday night.
The owner and staff are all camp as a row of tents and they also own the massage place opposite, both premises have big rainbow flags in the windows.. whatever that means... wink

Another vote for the Thai Terrace and Rum Wong. There's also Sir & Madame in Guildford which is pretty good and the White Lyon & Dragon in Worplesdon.

Edited to add the Eastern Oriental in Old Woking is very good too.
