I used to go every year with our local car club but IMO they spoiled it a few years back when they changed it to 2 days and then they changed it again so that we couldn't have a reserved display area for our club. I'm sure the air display and moving car displays are still very good but for me a large part of it was the club displays so our club hasn't bothered with it for the last couple of years.

Going tomorrow (unless it rains, in which case we will try Sunday),
Not been for a few years, last time I went was when the Harrier was still flying frown

Egham show Truck & E type instead. Static show, lots of s, rain & mud - NO
Quins v Glasgow Warriors at 14:30pm now your talking, under cover seating, beer and good food.

W&W wasn't to bad

Only half the cars turned up for the Runway Sprint, same with the Club Areas

Visirers down by aprox 3/4s

Moring track was a bit wet (no rain at the time) but managed some good runs
8 Jags inc a XJ220 all said their cars felt skittish, mine stuck to the Black stuf without problems

The PM runs were dry, did a couple of good fast runs

Back again Tomorrow

Some good photos there
Sunday turned out to be a good day despite the early rain.
First run down wet track was interesting .... caught quickly up with a Corvette a bit quick near the end and was time to back right off.

Last run in afternoon saw near 6000rpm in top but don't know the speed as it only reads to 140.
Had a police car behind me with his blues and siren on ha ha nice one Tony smile but left you for dust .....

Some nice cars there and some old monster with an Aircraft engine in it called Mavis smile
Fantastic flying display too.

The weather turned out pretty good yesterday! I've got 900 photos to sort through now (loads to delete though - lots of panning shots of aircraft where only a handful will turn out to be keepers).

I got around to taking the time to pop into the paddock this time to have a nose around the cars - great to see Mavis up close - such a monster! I didn't take many car photos though - too many people around, although I know I got a few of the black Ultima with the PH sticker on the back smile.

I think the Chinook display was my favourite - the way it moves is just not natural! It's a shame the Eurofighter wasn't until right near the end - I usually sneak off early to avoid the worst of the traffic, but had to stay around for that smile.

Yes Chinook was brilliant saw that at Eastbourne last weekend.
I saw the Ultima arrive after the McLaren both sounded good too.

Easy way out via Stovolds Hill then turn left and head to Godalming the Vette had the edge on me
on that road smile
Then out Via Charter House and on to the A3
Hardly any traffic, my eldest lad went with the rest of the sheep and it took him ages.
Told him but too late he was stuck in it

I was there on the Saturday and the weather was just pants frown Ended up leaving around 4:30pm. It was typical that the weather improved massively for the Sunday as this was my Dad's first trip to W&W.

Anyway, I still managed 152.7mph down the runway which is what the ECU said, whilst the needle on the speedo had just gone past 160mph.
