Hello!

Random question I know, but having just bought 4 lovely new barstools for my new kitchen I was very upset to find out that they are too tall and are good as useless. As you can see here

So rather than sell/bin them I would like to try and shorten them.

However I don't have access to or any experience welding.

So would someone fancy some beer money to chop about 25cm out of the legwork of these then weld back together? Additionally I would love you forever and ever.

They are stainless steel, and here is a generic Internet pic to show whole thing

Let me know

Thanks

:-)

looks as if more than a Inch off to get the seet low enough

I would just cut the botton off in cluding the link back to front
Then fit some rubber bungs over the cuts

Not a bad idea, but would prefer to do it properly so you can't even tell (they are a "designer" style so would look a bit wrong) but as a last resort it's an option!

And I said about 25cm not an inch

Nobody fancy giving this a go then?

Happy for someone to give me a proper "quote" for doing the work?

If not they will have to go on eBay over the weekend.
