What's Lingfield like?
Discussion
Hi All,
Not sure where best to post this, so thought I'd try here.
We're looking at moving to Lingfield from Wallington. We like what we see there, nice and small, easy commute to London and a few nice houses around.
Interested in insights from anyone that lives there or knows the area? Anywhere we should avoid? Anything we should know?
Cheers!

It's lovely there chap, a few friends live there/nearby. When are you looking to move?
The friends I mention will all be at the next meet I put together so you can get a full low down on the area before you make the jump. I assume commuting for you will only be via train into London?

Cheers folks.
My wife will be commuting to East Croydon every day. I normally work from home, and maybe once a week need to get up to London.
We saw a couple at the weekend and have actually put an offer in on one of them, but so has someone else so we're waiting to hear from the vendors at the moment.
It certainly seems like exactly the sort of nice quiet place we're looking for, so fingers crossed!

Just wanted to come back and update you all.
We moved in just before Christmas and so far we're loving it. The rain made things a little interesting, but it's so much nicer here.
I genuinely can't recall the last time I heard a siren from the house. Neighbours are lovely - we were met with champaign and cake on the day we moved in!
Overall very happy.
Now I have a drive, time to get saving for something nicer to put on it!

There's a 40 limit on the whole of Ashdown Forest and much of it is used for open grazing now too so expect sheep literally laying in the middle of the road on some parts
Is that recent? We hoon that way monthly and I can't say I've ever had any problems. Plus, it's all so open you could spot them a mile off,Gassing Station | Thames Valley & Surrey | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
