Passed the accident last night on the way home from the pub, Bib Looked like they had just arrived.
Accident was 100 metres or so away from Rackstraws heading towards Tesco.
Car was there this morning when I left for Goodwood at silly oclock
Odd for someone to "lose it" on a dead straight bit of dry road?

Maybe the sheer power of the MX5 just caught them out?

I don't recognise it as any of my local meet members. Wonder if they were coming from Little Sandhurst direction, turning right at the lights and were going a bit too quick?

At 11:45 it was being towed towards Camberley when the truck driver pulled up on to the grass verge with it, before they'd even got as far as M&S !

I thought the same, although I could do with the wheels to practice polishing them up!

Yes but they do. I watched a woman crash on the M3, all on her own, they are some seriously stupid people out there.

Yep, just come back from near St Peter's by the Christmas tree farm leading to the Harvester, our lane full with traffic from the M25, the two lanes coming the other way flowing freely and then i see a mini hammering it past us from our lane using middle lane the wrong way cutting back in when a car is on coming! Mental!

Not us, though we were also out a silly o'clock on our way to Goodwood.
Anyway who drives with the roof up at the moment??
Maybe too much right foot v driving ability?
No doubt we'll find out when parts come up on fleabay or ANOther well known site.
Be careful out there.
Cheers, Pewe.

It could be a merging issue judging by the sign on the post.

Where is it? Just off the cross roads?

If so, I've seen an S2000 almost identically to that a few months back! It could be the bump mid crossroads that sent them wobbly if it was there.

If it is past the traffic lights heading towards the meadows then i can say that if you are in the outside lane and doing a little more than twice the speed limit through the lights then there used to be a bump there that would make my MR2 really, really fking scarily unsettled a little twitchy, but i never really notice it now (could be a combo of either the car or much, much less speed)

Merging with a lamp post never works out well

Or possibly an over-enthusiastic right turn from the Sandhurst direction?

There is quite a ridge as you go over the lights there heading towards the meadows and if you are going at a few leptons over the limit the car can bounce quite a bit and the front become very light (allegedly). Being a boring Mondeo driver I wouldnt know of course wink
