Fancy a meal out tonight, and want to try somewhere new. Short notice though - only an hour or two left!

Since I want somewhere new, I can rule out : Thai on Frimley Road and the one on A30 in town, Manzil indian, New Diwan E Kas (or however you spell it), Bluebells, and pretty much all the restaurants in the town center.

Any ideas?

Eat most foods, no particular budget but like good food, quite fancy a good steak or something like that tonight but happy to try most things.

Bit late and not strictly Camberley but the Aviator can be very good for a steak and also Wings is good (Chinese In North Camp). There's more but I'm a bit late to the party!

You were a bit late but were spot on. Realised I'd never eaten at the aviator so went there.

Food was very nice - my rare steak was probably a bit too close to medium, but lots of flavour and generally impressed.

Service was really poor though and they need to sort that out. Although I liked the food the service would make me hesitate to go back.

Try brick makers arms at windlesham next time you're in the area, might have to book though.

Has anyone been to Abbey's on the London Road?
Just so you know chaps the Crown and Cushion in Minley has been taken over by Barons Pubs. I know a couple of the staff that have moved over from the Rose and Crown in Virginia Water.
I imagine this is going to be a great place soon.

That's the one just on the corner near Frimley Road (a couple of doors up from the always-empty Chilli Spice)?

Keep meaning to try that, but didn't fancy it last night.

It has a Zero food hygene rating, avoid!

We've been going to El Achi in frimley alot, really very good curry

Brickmakers is always good, as is the Belvedere Italian in Bagshot.

Oh dear - I've stopped visiting my usual curry house since I discovered it's food hygene rating was one. I'm definitely not going to start visiting somewhere with zero!

I've seen posts before about the indian in Frimley, and I did remember that the other night - but wasn't in a mood for curry. Do plan to give it a try though (and for reference, tried the one in the Atrium a couple of months back and was pleasantly surprised).

Will try to get to the Brickmakers at some point - only problem being, that's well on the way to Bluebells and I do like it there - so I'd probably just carry on past Windlesham!

Had a few nice meals in the Camberley Tandoori next door to subway just up the A30 from New Diwan what's its name, Curies have been quite nice, not quite mogul standard but not quite so expensive either but they seemed better than the aforementioned place nearby. They don't have a food rating yet though, but been ok so far!

If you rate the mogul then you should try the Amish in Chobham, better in every way.

I used to live 20seconds walk from the Mogul, i would still drive to chobham for my curries.

Had lunch at Chilli Spice on the corner of the Frimley Road / A30 last week, enjoyed it.
