Cameras on The Maultway M3 bridge?

Just wondering if anyone knows what sort of cameras appear to have been fitted onto the M3 bridge on the Maultway?

Saw 2 guys in reflective jackets hooking up the boxes & chains linked to some cameras strapped to the bridge earlier this afternoon. Seemed to be setting them up pointing towards traffic on the London bound lanes, but may have done the other side later as I didn't come back that way.

Just wondering whether they're just traffic count / monitoring based or speed/tax/anpr based?

I wonder whether they're being put in to monitor the traffic on this stretch?

Fairly certain it was in the news the other day that the Highways Agency & other relevant parties have got confirmation to go ahead with the removal of the hard shoulder on this part of the M3.

The ones by fleet services are ANPR for Hampshire. Not sure on the new ones, I didn't think they were investing in anymore yet.
