Quick question, where do you chaps with noisy TVRs go for your MOTs in the Maidenhead/Bracknell/Reading area?

I used to have it done while being serviced at Racing Green but the place they used has closed down. It's got a main cat but no pre-cats and is pretty noisy! biggrin

Thoughts?

Racing Green now use Mytchett Garage. There was a blue stickered Griff awaiting it's fate outside last week

Not a TVR but I took one of my noisy ones to Thames Valley MOTs in Reading last week based on a few recommendations on here. They seemed a friendly bunch.

So what you are asking for is a slightly hard of hearing MOT tester biggrin

Wingfield Engineering in Winnersh must be fairly lenient as they seem to pass a certain rather loud yellow Chimaera that lives down my road. wink Plus they always seem pretty fair on other issues, with mine and my OH's cars when we take them in.

It should pass without its pre-cats at any mot garage. Mine has no pre-cats and has a sleeved exhaust and passes.

I have not had an issue at any of the garages from a noise perspective and I have no pre-cats and a sleeved box. The one above passed me last year.

Cheers Jon

Finchampstead MOT & Service Centre 0118973 3465 on the Hogwood Industrial Estate in Arborfield always seem to take a sensible view on modified cars and bikes.
HTH.

why not just ring racing green and ask nicely where they take their cars for MOT?

All been done now, I took it to the same place as last year. Mytchett Garage and they do the TVRs for Racing Green.
