So with Royal Ascot and the PGA looming whats the traffic around Sunningdale, Ascot and the A30 going to be like?

Avoid at all cost or should it be a breeze?

PGA should be alot better as they are laying on Park and rides (windsor and sunningdale) instead of people parking on site

This.

Sometimes it won't effect a journey at all but it's worth knowing the best routes to avoid the A30.

They will be making some roads one way during the kick out time, also there will be a lot of no stopping/ parking in the local roads.

Great timing - roadworks at Holloway College junction at Englefield Green A30.
Traffic was a nightmare over the weekend and this morning. Looks long term as well!!! Brilliant - not!

yes

I got caught out this morning so knew to avoid it on the way home. Those roadworks are going to be utter chaos.

The Park and Ride at Broomhall hasn't been done before so I expect it'll be a complete fk up.

Thanks for the heads up on the roadworks at the college - I'll go the other way in the morning!

So the Roadwork signs are still there but all the lanes are open again. If anyone goes past this afternoon can they let us know if it's safe to head home that way.

I usually work a late shift, so the traffic rarely affects me.. But, for the rest of this week, I am commuting from Ascot to Ottershaw at 6:30am & back at 6:30pm. My usual route takes me through Sunningdale, then across Chobham common. Will I have any problems with traffic, or is it early/late enough that I'll be okay?

Don't know Dave, have yet to see what the PGA park & ride will bring, my guess is you'll be sufficiently outside the times as to be OK.

omgus - the A30 past Royal Holloway was clear when I came home.

A30 clear this morning at 7:45

My wife has phoned and she's seen the first of the P&R buses - traffic no worse than normal so far, but doesn't the golf start at 10?
