The mother wishes to meet up for food and catching up tomorrow and has suggested meeting halfway (she's in Teddington, I'm in Worthing). I have no clue about any reasonable food pubs roughly halfway - can anyone recommend somewhere with good food between here and there?

If a PHer owns the place then even better. smile

The Mulberry Inn near Chiddingfold - http://www.themulberryinn.co.uk/home

Owned by Chris Evans, don't know if he's a PHer but obviously a car nut.

Thanks chaps, have suggested the Mulberry as it looks great (she wants to 'sit outside but not on a 'picnic table''..!) and it's also exactly 49 minutes from her and 49 minutes from me! Perfect.

Looks like they have some great reviews and I recall wanting to visit after reading threads about some of the PH meets there.

Cheers guys!

Thanks, but Mum's in Teddington and I'm in Worthing - Hertford seems slightly out-of-the-way for us both.

It is in Fleet, and I 2nd Ozmira it is a nice place for a drink on a summers evening! But yes, not exactly close to either of you.

Ah, sorry, I clicked on the 'Contact Us' page on the McMullen site and saw what I now realise is the main brewery address; I didn't spot the address details on the right - my apologies.

The Mulberry was really nice - lovely atmosphere, the food was great and very good value as well. My brother came over from Crawley and joined us too, it's pretty much perfect distance-wise for all of us.

We'll definitely be going back there again and I'd recommend it to anyone else considering going.

Thank for the suggestion Jagman. smile
