Any experiences? Looking to get the snotter tested, and am pretty sure it will fail. On the radio they're advertising a 'No pass no fee' test which would be ideal for me to get a free report on what needs fixing. What's the catch?

There is none, very useful if as you say you think it will fail as then it costs nothing, so you then fix those bits & take it somewhere doing halfprice MOT's.

Yes it is a good deal,IF? the failures really do need doing?
I used to have a car repair business(I`m retired)not far from a Motest and have seen many of their "Failures" In my opinion they go over the top.The joke was Motest would fail a car if the ashtray was full up!!.I`ve taken 100`s of cars to TopTest Oxford Road and have always had thorough but fair MOT`s.

I found it the other way round, they missed several things (valid) the car had failed on elsewhere

I've used them a few times. I've never had any complaints, they had my old Boxster, Golf and the wife's car a couple of times. I like the fact you can go there at odd hours, wander around town and head back once the car's done.

Thanks for the advice. Well,to my amazement it bloody passed! Advisories for rear coil and oil leak.

I'm a happy man to be honest, the test seemed very fair, sensible, and a good efficient service. Particularly liked the ability to book your slot on line.
