As the title suggests I just spotted a wallaby in the woods near Marlow. Very weird, had no idea there was any living around here. Got a photo and video of it but can't upload as I'm on my phone.
Anyone else spotted weird animals around here?

Saw a big black cat in Binfield about 5 years ago, told the missus and she thought that I had bumped my head. Then a few weeks later a few other people had reported the same thing in the woods near the treatment works towards the bottom of the village. Never heard of it being captured or seen since, very odd!

Something escaped from Lord McAlpines estate not long ago and was found dead in Marlow.

Edit, it was an Aardvark.

Have you reported it to anyone?

not sure why you'd want to report it to anyone else. It's living quite happily and clearly survived the winter unless it's a recent escapee. It's not dangerous...report to whom?

There's loads of them living round that way. I was brought up in village just outside Henley and you would see them hoping across the fields every now and again. I cuaght on eon the local farm I worked on which had got into the yard and was trying to nick the cow feed and a school friend caught one stuck in the fence in is garden. Not sure they're doing so well these days as my folks haven't mentioned seeing any in a few years.

It was always reckoned that a bunch had escaped from McAlpines place and settled and bred in the surrounding area.

Used to work in Lenham Kent there were a few of those (wallaby's) knocking about in the wild. Used to see them quite regular. Think they both go run over within a month of each other which was quite sad
