11.00 Sunday 5th
£5 Per person but i'm working on getting a group rate to go round the museum

Right team what with the weather now on the up And the owner Tony has kindly offered me the use of his Monty Rolls for the fete. who fancies a Sunday meet here at the Eton History on wheels Museum then on for lunch somewhere. I am thinking first Sunday of May. His car park is good for 50 cars and should take about an hour or so to wonder round, good for the kids too.

Situated in the South East of England, in Eton Wick, close to Eton College and within sight of Windsor Castle, History On Wheels is more than just a motor museum.

The Museum was first opened to the public in 1980, and as the name implies, within this Museum can be found a truly unique collection of MOTORS, both Military and Civilian, MILITARIA, from 1900 to the 1950’s, from all conflicting Nations, and MEMORIES, illustrating artefacts of all types from both the civilian and wartime home fronts.

Originally constructed as an indoor riding school, the principal building was converted in the late 1970’s to house the Tony Oliver private collection of Vehicles and Militaria. It was generally accepted that the educational and historic significance of this unique collection should be made available to the general public, albeit on certain Open Days throughout the year.

The first, very random open days commenced in the 1970’s, and the public response, interest and ever growing attendances came as a very pleasant surprise.
