And blocked by an RTC with stationary traffic jnt 4-3 according to the BBC travel report this morning.

Just finishing a night shift, and waiting to go go home to Redhill from Kingston. Hopefully it won't be too bad!

As an ex recovery driver who spent many years working that stretch, fatals like that always make me think of my colleagues.

Slightly off topic, but the clutch went on my car a couple of years back on a winters evening. Had to wait for the RAC to recover me, we were just off a bend on the M3 near J6, and the poor RAC man looked terrified whilst he was trying to do his stuff.

This will be the only Benifit of the M3 managed motorway as it will be lit and have the ability to close lanes and alter speed limits (not that people will do the limit but hopefully will make them keep a better look out!!)
