PC Help Needed

I've hosed the partitions on my Windows 8 machine

Does anyone have a bootable CD which would allow me to re-partition the hard drive?

The Windows 3.1/XP/Vista/7 CDs I have don't go as far as doing that - so I need a 'specialist' program to do it.

I'll have to come collect it; so preferably not a million miles from the SAS heartland.

Mr K, do you want to partition an install of Windows or start from scratch?

I'd prefer to start from scratch.

So some tool (not me) that I can boot up with and re-partition my hard drive would be cool.

There are some freebies and stuff I can download off the web, which is a plan of last resort as I'm not 100% trusting of them.

Actually, I have do it from scratch. The partitions are hosed and it won't boot up from the HD. But boots fine from the CD (I did make sure to disable the UEFI boot option first).

I've got a Windows 7 CD, so quite happy to downgrade to Win 7.

Glad to say I've managed to get it sorted

My trusty old Win 95 install CD came up trumps

So all OK now .... ish. It did not recognise any network devices, so I had to download the latest LAN driver and it worked. Just praying the wireless one will work too
