Sandhurst - Slough commute, best route?
Discussion
I used to live in Crowthorne and work in Slough. It was 45 minutes to Slough on a good day and that was 10 years ago. It's a pig of a drive in rush-hour.
There is a back road route that comes out at M4 J8/9 or staying backroads (fun roads too) to the Windsor junction but while the back roads are ok it's then a pain to get onto the motorway. Another alternative is to stay back road to Windsor and use the A355/Slogh Rd/Windsor Rd but then it's busy trying to get to the A355...

I live in Crowthorne and work in Slough and most days I go up through Jennets Park get on the A329 and get on the M4 then down to J7 and get off there. Really depends what time you are doing it too. I usually leave around 7am and get to to the office between7:30am and 8am. Coming home tends to be worse.
If I'm in the Tiv I tend to do the back roads through Binfield and Oakley Green and get on the A332 up to Slough
